Prayer for God's Grace and New Beginnings
Season 1 | Episode 43Happy New Year, Happy 2023! This is my favorite holiday and I love the sense of new beginnings and turning a new page. Today, I want to start off this year praying for grace and new beginnings. I don't know about you, but there are things that happened in 2022 that I'm just not super proud of. However, I also think I did the best I could, and I really want to work on this notion of giving myself grace.
I think it's really easy to set these goals for ourselves, and then when we fall short, we don't give ourselves grace. It's a new season and we ask God to give us grace and release us from holding on to any feelings of disappointment. We ask God to continue to bless us and ask that the seeds that we sowed in 2022 will blossom into a large and bountiful harvest in 2023.
“God, you still want me. You’re not judging me. Even when I can’t love certain parts of myself, you’re loving me. Even when I’ve done things that I’m ashamed of myself, you’re loving me. Even when I have things I can’t admit to anybody else, you still love me. And you show me grace anyways, and you model the grace that I need to give to others as well.”
