Prayers for When You're Feeling Hopeless

Season 1 | Episode 38

Sometimes we're not really sure why God called us on this crazy path. We are not sure sometimes. We may think that yes, God has called me to be a lawyer.

But then the road is still not easy and we're confused. God called me to be a lawyer, but the LSAT exam has been difficult.

For this prayer, we ask that God would illuminate some clarity for us and remind us that yes, God has called us, but He did not necessarily say it was going to be easy. He did not say we would fail either. We pray for hope during the fits of adversity.

We ask God to encourage us and keep us on this path, that you would push us forward. Even when our legs give out, even when we're weary, give us just a little bit more strength, courage, and encouragement to take the very next step. Some of us may be retaking the exam, finding a new tutor after another, or simply lost. We ask to be seen and heard during this rough time, and await the success at the end of the road.

Some of us are the only person we know trying to be a lawyer....[for some of us] we’ve never met another lawyer in our life and we are on this journey and feel alone. But I’m asking you, God, would make yourself known to us that we can feel seen by you. So that we know we’re not alone.
